The staff is available to answer questions regarding wetlands and the permitting process, and will assist an applicant with permit application questions. As part of her responsibilities, the Conservation Agent/ Natural Resource Officer reviews each building permit application and Board of Health application to determine if an applicant will need to file for a permit with the Conservation Commission.
You will need to file an application if you are doing any work within a resource area or within 100 feet of a wetland resource area or within 200 feet of a river or if the proposed work is deemed by the Conservation Commission to likely have a significant or cumulative detrimental effect upon a resource area.
