Responsibilities:

  • Approving all bills and payrolls of the town, as submitted by each department, for accuracy, legality and appropriation
  • Processing the payment of town bills
  • Recording of all cash received by the town by classification, fund, etc.
  • Preparation of monthly and yearly financial reports and state reports
  • All other duties as more fully described in MGL sections 55 through 61 of chapter 41
