Filing instructions:

MassDEP requests that applications required by the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act be mailed and emailed to the Southeast Regional Office while staff are working remotely. MassDEP’s full guidance can be found here. On May 6, 2020, MassDEP also published a Wetlands FAQ.

Fees for Filing

The fees listed are the application fees an applicant pays under the Town of Scituate Wetlands Protection Bylaw.  These fees are separate fees from those fees required under the MA Wetlands Protection Act (WPA).  

When filing an application, in addition to the Town Bylaw fees an applicant must also calculate the fee payment required under the WPA as identified in the WPA Appendix B.

Legal Notices

Certain application require that a legal notice be published in a local newspaper at least five (5) days before the public hearing. The Conservation Office staff will publish this notice on your behalf. You will be required to pay for the legal notice.
