Humarock

Scituate has 21 square miles of awe-inspiring waterways including five beaches, four rivers, several marinas and public boat launches, and a large sheltered harbor. 

Beaches 

Scituate has five beaches: Minot, Sand Hills, Egypt, Peggotty and Humarock. These are spectacular beaches with wonderful views of Cape Cod Bay, a wide range of recreational activities, and within walking distance of many seaside neighborhoods and village centers.  Visitor beach passes are available at the Harbormaster's Office on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Peggotty Beach. Rivers 

Scituate has four waterways including the North River, South River, First Herring Brook and Gulph River. These coastal rivers provide some of the best water-related recreational activities in Massachusetts including boating, canoeing and kayaking, sport fishing, swimming, bird watching, and more.

Marine Facilities and Watersports

Scituate takes pride in its fishing heritage and industry, and has significant marine related facilities including NOAA, US Coast Guard Station, Town Pier (and other commercial fishing piers), Marine Park, Scituate Maritime Center, and several marinas and charter businesses that provide residents and visitors alike opportunities to work, play, and learn along Scituate’s coastline.  Visit the Scituate Harbormaster
