Scituate Shellfish Beds Reopening January 1, 2023

Recreational shellfishing in Scituate will resume in the North and South Rivers as of January 1, 2023, after 2.5 seasons of closure. Thank you to the North and South Rivers Watershed Association for their dedicated advocacy and to Representative Patrick Kearney and Senator Patrick O’Connor for securing the funding for studies of our water quality, all of which led to the partial reopening of our shellfish beds.
