Scituate Beach Commission Meeting Minutes 2-6-18

SCITUATE BEACH COMMISSION

February 6, 2018

Scituate Library - Small Conference Room/Main Level

7:30pm

Attendees:

Nancy Fay, Steven Tripp, Danielle Taleas, Anne McCracken, Paula Elsmore, Steve O'Brien

I. Meeting Called to order by Nancy Fay at 7:35pm and second by Paula Elsmore followed by a unanimous vote from the group.

II. N. Fay motoned to approve meeting minutes from October 3rd, 2017 at 7:39pm motion was second by Steve Tripp, followed by an unamimous vote from the group.

III. Project updates:

Moving forward with planters at Humarock

CPC restroom upgrade for Egypt and Humarock Beach will be discussed with DPW to coordinate with the parking lot renovations.

CPC has been submitted for shade structures and will beheld for long term goals to be set.

A. McCracken checking in about flag system with Coast Guard and Board of Health.

Beach Barrels project have been transferred to DPW

Boardwalk out of RFP

IV. New Business:

Discussed potential for standard procedure plan to be submitted as well as a  year, 3 year and 5 year plan

V. Old Business:

Discussed beach stickers for purchase as posted on town website

VI. Misc:

Website: Add chairman's email, update meeting times

Review Beach parking lots and put together 1,3 and 5 years goals

Planning a meeting with Board of Selectman liason

D. Taleas announced she will be leaving the Beach Commission after next month

VII. Meeting motoned to adjourn at 8:43pm by D. Taleas and second by A. McCracken and then resulting in a unanimous vote from the group.
