2021 Annual Town Census 3rd Reminder

This is the 3rd reminder to return your census back to the Town Clerk's office. There are over 2,000 who have not returned their census. I am required by law to place all  nonrespondents on the "Inactive" voter list. If you are on the INACTIVE list you will be required to see the Town Clerk before you can vote on any given election day and you will be required too show proof of residency at that time. The process can be time consuming for all on election day.

Census returns provide proof of residence to protect voter rights, veteran's bonuses, housing for the elderly, and related benefits.  Population figures have an impact on revenue sharing and grant funding.

If you have misplaced your Town census, please send a note with the date and your signature indicating  who lives there. You can email it to me at kgardner@scituatema.gov or drop it off at Town Hall.
