Mission Statement
The Mission of the Scituate/West Cork Sister City Committee is to promote partnerships;
foster an understanding of cultures and traditions; facilitate exchange programs for students
and adults; encourage tourism; share advances in business and education; and
provide activities that will be of mutual benefit to Scituate and West Cork.

2. Acceptance of minutes January 2, 2019, meeting
3. Treasurers Report
4. Student Exchange discussion, amending, and approval vote. Proposal will be presented to the
School Committee in late Feb. Once approved, by School committee and our committee, we
will send it to Ireland - then we will compare proposals and adjust as needed. Our goal is to
have a signing in June.
5. Grant application is due Feb 20 - need proofreaders
6. Film Festival Next Film February 28. Next Irish Film will be on March 7 - The Wind That Shakes
the Barley St Mary’s Hall 7:00 Report on Black 47
7. Pendant raffle returns to date & report Drawing March 13 at Tinker’s Son$5.00 each 5 for
$20 Please sell - I have lots more tickets
8. 2nd annual Corned beef Dinner March 13 at Tinker’s on $50 per person - $25 is donation
to us - Please sell tickets
9. Delegation plans June 10 - 18
10. St Patrick’s Day Parade March 17 - We will have a float - Volunteers - Cosco or similar membership?
We need candy to throw from float - lollypops ideal - candy must be covered Should we
have pots of gold for collections?
11. Senior Center Tea and Irish Bread will be (Date TBA)
