Scituate /West Cork Committee

 

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Scituate/West Cork Sister City Committee is to promote partnerships; foster an understanding of cultures and traditions; facilitate exchange programs for students and adults; encourage tourism; share advances in business and education; and provide activities that will be of mutual benefit to Scituate and West Cork.

            a. Scituate/West Cork jewelry (Maureen Dinsmore marketing idea)

            b. Film Festival (dates?) small raffle items?

            c. Art Exhibit (spring)?

            d. Irish Bread at Senior Center

            e. Series of lectures Catherine Shannon

            f. Scituate Beach Association /Doc Ellis Band/etc.

            g. Joint fundraiser with Sucie-en-Brie

            h. Cookbook and/or Raffle (big prize - over a few months)

            i. Corned beef dinner?

            k. Book club?

            l. St Patrick’s Parade float?

            m. Set Dancing instruction? (not done 2017-2018)

            n. Annual Dinner? Name the dinner? - Honor a person/benefactor? Donate X% of take

            to Irish Charitable Society of Boston or other Irish Society.
