  • Scituate is somewhat disadvantaged in attracting large office users due to its indirect access to Route 3, but with two MBTA commuter train stations and large properties available adjacent to Route 3A the community does offer prospective companies an attractive option for regional employees.
  • Vacancy rates are consistently low throughout Scituate for small office users like medical, professional services (i.e. lawyers, accountants, etc.), or small satellite offices. Additional small office space could likely be supported in each of the existing village areas (10,000 square feet in total), with the greatest potential in Greenbush-Driftway.
  • The health care industry is a target for Scituate. The sector is already a significant employer in Scituate as well as the region, and has the opportunity to further grow.
