Utilities

Natural gas is available in Scituate and is provided by Eversource.  Electric rates are competitive and utilities include Eversource and National Grid. Additionally, the Town of Scituate generates electricity from a wind turbine at the Wastewater Treatment Plan and a solar array on the former landfill, both located of the Driftway. These energy generators save Scituate residents and businesses on the costs of electricity for Town facilities.
