Inspections Department
The Inspections Department is responsible for issuing permits for: building, plumbing, gas, electrical, and is the sealer of weights & measures. A building permit is required for: roofing, siding, and window replacements; decks and additions, earth removal, raising and elevating a building; alterations, repairs, remodeling, and renovations; tool sheds and above and in-ground swimming pools; woodstoves; signs; and all new construction. the department can be reached at (781) 545-8716.
