Update on Scituate Lighthouse Restoration Project

Lighthouse Project Scope

In October of 2022, construction crews removed the 92-year-old lantern room from the top of historic Scituate Lighthouse in anticipation of restoration after it was determined that there was severe corrosion. Project funding was secured by the Historical Society through a grant of $200,000 from the Massachusetts Cultural Commission as well as $2M of CPC funds approved at the April 2022 Town Meeting.  After months of working with Pomroy Associates, Owner’s Project Manager, and Spencer Preservation Group, Preservation Architects, the Town has awarded a contract to Campbell Construction Group, LLC to begin work on the Historic Scituate lighthouse restoration. Work is scheduled to begin in the next few weeks with completion in approximately 5 months.

The restoration project scope can be found in the below attachment.
