Scituate New Senior Center / Recreation Center Renovation Project – Update #32

Progress update and upcoming three-week look-ahead schedule

The project has been divided into main work areas as follows:

General/Site Conditions

• Landscaping at both buildings (weather permitting)
• Demobilization

Senior Center

• Staff only occupancy on 3/4/21
• Contractor performing punchlist and Owner training
• Senior Center parking lot open

Recreation Center

• Occupancy week of 3/15/21
• Contractor performing punchlist and Owner training
• New Recreation Center parking lot not open
• New entrance is emergency egress only

Please note: the above schedule is based on information provided by the General Contractor during the weekly job meetings, and is subject to change depending on weather, unforeseen conditions, or other reasons.

The current issue with COVID-19 is not expected to halt the construction work, unless directed by local, State, and/or Federal health officials. The contractors are following all guidelines issued by the Commonwealth of MA.
