SCITUATE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY

Storm Update 9: 10 AM

As of 10 am, fewer than 10 Scituate customers served by National Grid are without power. National Grid, the Town of Scituate, and the Scituate Fire and Police Departments are working together to aid those homes needing additional assistance.

If you are a Scituate resident experiencing a power outage and need shelter, please contact 781-545-8748.

For warming and device-charging facilities, residents can utilize the following town locations:

Scituate Town Library:

Thursday, 12/21: 9 am - 9 pm

Scituate Senior Center:

Thursday, 12/21: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Scituate Town Hall:

Thursday, 12/21: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

The Scituate Food Pantry will be open today, Thursday, 12/21, from 3:15 pm to 5:15 pm. Additionally, on Friday, 12/22, the Food Pantry will be open from 9 am to 12 pm to compensate for Tuesday's closure caused by the power outage.

Please check in on your elderly or disabled neighbors, especially during these challenging circumstances. Extend a helping hand by ensuring they are safe and comfortable and have access to any assistance they might need.

National Grid crews will never request money from residents. There have been reported cases in surrounding towns where tree cleanup crews falsely claimed affiliation with National Grid and sought payment for their services. If anyone approaches you asserting they are with National Grid asking for payment, please contact National Grid at 1-800-465-1212 or the Scituate Police Department at 781-545-1212.

In case of an emergency, dial 911. For non-emergency situations, please call 781-545-1212. Please contact National Grid at 1-800-465-1212 to report an outage. Ensure generators are operated outdoors and away from living spaces.
