School Facility Study
Message from the Superintendent

Dear Scituate Community,
As we mentioned in our letter on November 30, Scituate Public Schools has begun exploring means to address some of the major facilities needs for our elementary schools.
We anticipate that the viability study and subsequent report will be ready by the end of December.
With this in mind, we would ask that you save the date for an informational workshop, to be held on January 7 at 7pm in the Gates Dining Commons.
The workshop will include:
- Overview of the study, report and options, by Habeeb and Associates Architects
- Review of grade configuration research and recommendations, by the Elementary Schools Grade Configuration Subcommittee
- Opportunity to share input from the community, facilitated by Educational Planner, Dr. Frank Locker
Prior to the event, the entire report and related research will be shared with our school stakeholders and the public via direct message and through the district’s website.
