Roadway Milling and Paving 2021

Beginning on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 the paving contractor will be milling and paving several roadways in Town. Milling will begin on Tuesday August 3, 2021 at 7:00 am on Clapp Road between Grove Street and Booth Hill Road. All of this work is weather dependent. The Contractor will then mobilize to First Parish Road and mill the pavement from the lights at Country Way to Cudworth Road and around the common. The existing sidewalk on First Parish Road from Country Way to the new senior center will be reconstructed with new granite curbing. A new crosswalk at the senior center will be installed and a new sidewalk will be constructed from the senior center to Central Park Drive. While the sidewalks on First Parish Road are being constructed, the paving contractor will be paving Jefferson Lane, Washington Lane, Clifton Avenue, Thomas Avenue and the roadways around the common. When the sidewalks along First Parish Road have been completed the final coat of asphalt will be placed. Motorists are urged to use caution while the roadway is milled, seek alternate routes and avoid the areas during work hours. Work is weather permitting and schedules may change without notice. The roadways will be open to local traffic only.
