Road Closure Notice

Bailey’s Causeway

Beginning on Monday July 27, 2020, the contractor will begin construction on the culvert replacement and installing barricades at the culvert crossing on Baileys Causeway. The roadway will be CLOSED during construction and Glades Road will return to 2-Way traffic during the construction period. The project is expected to last 3-4 weeks. Due to the construction sequencing, pedestrian access may not be available from the overflow public beach parking lot. If safety conditions permit, pedestrian access will be allowed after work hours. The public parking lot on the corner of Glades Road and Baileys Causeway will not be impacted. Below, please find the detour route to be used during the road closure.

Gilson Road

Beginning on Monday July 27, 2020 the contractor will begin construction on the culvert replacement on Gilson Road between house #28 and #38. Columbia Gas has scheduled the temporary bypass to be installed. Gilson Road will be CLOSED to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic between house numbers #28 and #38. Construction is expected to last 3-4 weeks.  Below,  please find the detour route to be used during the road closure. Please obey all traffic and speed signage on Gilson Road and surrounding areas.
