Public Disclosure Notice to Scituate Taxpayers

The Scituate Board of Assessors has completed its comprehensive reassessment of all classes of property in the Town of Scituate in compliance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40, Section 56. The Assessors have received Preliminary Certification from the Mass. Dept. of Revenue.

The values were calculated at "Full and Fair Cash Value" using sales data between 1/1/2021 and 12/31/2022. The valuation date for Fiscal Year 2024 is January 1, 2023. The Revaluation resulted in a median assessed value increase in the Residential Class of approximately 10%.

Revisions to parcel data may be made during the public disclosure period. After that time, values will be set and submitted to the Department of Revenue for Final Certification.

Printouts with the preliminary FY24 assessments will be available for taxpayer review at the Scituate Town Hall, Assessors Office and at the Scituate Town Library during normal business hours as well as on our website at:
