Massachusetts coastal areas Closed to Shellfishing on August 22nd and 23rd, 2021.

Due to the impending hurricane, the Division of Marine Fisheries has placed a closure on the harvest of shellfish in all Massachusetts waters, with the exception of scallop adductor muscle and the conch fishery. This is a precaution due to predicted heavy rainfall and high winds from Hurricane “Henri” expected to affect Massachusetts coastal areas on August 22nd and 23rd, 2021.
