Hurricanes Franklin and Idalia

As Hurricanes Franklin and Idalia move into the North Atlantic Thursday, Friday and into the weekend, beachgoers should expect higher than normal surf and a risk of rip currents on all town beaches.
There will be no Lifeguards on duty at any of the beaches other than Peggotty through the weekend.
There is also a risk of minor coastal splash over during high tides on Thursday and Friday.
