Halloween Wind Advisory

We are going to experience extremely high winds this evening into Friday morning. Fortunately for the trick or treaters the highest winds and associated rain will come late this evening from 11pm tonight to 6am Friday.

The steady winds will be from the south 20-30mph with gusts 50-60 mph tonight with a cold front transiting our area around 5am when the winds will shift abruptly from the west & remain gusty until mid-day diminishing through the afternoon.

The strength of the wind gusts will determine if we get any tree damage. If the gusts get closer to 60mph this would likely bring tree & limb damage and trigger scattered power outages by morning, if closer to 50mph we may just get a few isolated outages.

Please drive slow understanding many kids will be out trick or treating tonight.

Happy Halloween!
