Cole Parkway Resiliency Project Update- 2/2/2024

The Town of Scituate is pleased to share an update on the Cole Parkway resiliency project.

Geotechnical investigations will begin designing upgrades to reduce flooding and improve the parking lot next week (February 5-9). Soil borings will be located on the perimeter of the Parkway to limit disturbance to traffic flow and pavement, with potential additional locations within the parking lot area. Work hours are anticipated to be between 7-8 AM and 4-5 PM, subject to weather and traffic conditions. While Cole Parkway will remain open to traffic and pedestrians, please note that certain sections may be temporarily blocked off.

The Town of Scituate, in collaboration with the Cole Parkway Redevelopment Committee, is actively pursuing solutions to address the flooding concerns within Cole Parkway. Should you have any questions or require further information, please don't hesitate to contact Corey Lynn Miles, CFM, Coastal Management Officer, at cmiles@scituatema.gov.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work towards enhancing the resilience of Cole Parkway.
