SHIP SHAPE DAY

One of the most anticipated events of the season, Scituate Ship Shape Day, sponsored by the Scituate Beautification Commission, will take place on Saturday, April 30.

This will be the 54th Ship Shape Day.

Everyone is invited to participate to help clean up our town.

Supplies may be picked up from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Scituate Town Hall, 600 Chief Justice Cushing Highway (Route 3A).

‘Plant Scituate’

In addition to picking up Ship Shape Day supplies, children are invited to take part in our “Plant Scituate” kick-off with our annual lottery for marigold plants – Scituate’s Town Flower – and the distribution of sunflower seeds in support of the Ukraine.

Garlic Mustard

The Scituate Garden Club will again provide information on garlic mustard and how to eradicate this invasive plant.

Join the Cleanup and Have Fun

Hundreds of Scituate individuals, couples, co-workers, neighbors, friends, and families come together on Ship Shape Day and rid the town’s streets and roads, playing fields and playgrounds, beaches, marshes, and parks of tons of trash – from cigarette butts to discarded tires.
