Scituate Maritime Center

The Scituate Maritime Center’s mission is to serve boaters, visitors and maritime trades and businesses in and around Scituate Harbor.  Situated at the Scituate Marine Park, the Maritime Center is a multi-use facility that serves as a meeting place for activities such as the Scituate Recreational Sailing Program,  meeting site for municipal groups, and is available for private rental.  The Maritime Center is open from April 1st - October 30th. 

The Marine Park serves the boating public with the 78 slip municipal marina, a public kayak ramp and bathrooms and showers for marina patrons.  There is a walking trail around the perimeter of the park as well as two historical buildings preserving the open space of the Marine Park and enhancing Scituate’s maritime history, along with a fully operational boatyard that service both our recreational and commercial boaters.  The Center is also available for private use functions and may be rented with a discount for Scituate residents.  

The Maritime Center is managed by the Town of Scituate, Select Board Office.  The office hours are Mon,Wed, Thurs 8:30 - 4:45 pm, Tues 8:30 - 7:30 pm, and Fri 8:30 - 11:45 am.   They can be reached at 781-545-8740

The function room, facing Scituate Harbor, can accommodate 50 seated, or up to 90 standing, depending on choice of furniture and/or use of the harborside deck.  A fee is required to reserve the function room and Center for public and private groups (see below).  The building provides full access for those with disabilities.  A large parking lot adjoins the Center.  If alcohol is to be served, the caterer or bartender is required to obtain a One Day Wine & Malt Beverage license from the Town, which is not included in the reservation fee.
