  1. Meeting called to order @ 6:05pm.
    2. Motion made to accept meeting agenda.  Motion seconded.  Unanimous vote.
    3. Motion to accept minutes of Feb 3, 2015 meeting.  Motion seconded.  Unanimous vote.
    4. Reviewed a "draft" of SCTV mission statement.  There are 2 similar mission statements.
Al B. to combine (wordsmith) them into one and present for approval at next meeting.  There was a short discussion as to the "birth" of the studio mission statement, and the need to contain high school focus including zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior in the studio.  Further discussion of the Advisory SCTV Committee Charter which must have 5 members and up to 2 associates. (Currently only 1; looking for another.)
    5.
John Roser will update the web site to reflect goals, membership, etc.
    6. The move to digital from analog is not in the plan per John and Kathy (Comcast) discussion. There is a need to start the ball rolling in that direction before the next contract in 2018.  A key thing to do is track number of quality problem directly resulting from current analog transmission.  Also track complaints.
John Roser will continue to do this and develop format to keep Committee updated.
    7. The SCTV production of "I Always Wanted To Do That..." Was discussed.
Mike and Al will GET GOING!  Several possible segments include:
    -Leon McCrary:  Weightlifting
    -Matt Brown: Cartooning
    -Someone: Amateur/Ham Radio
    -Paul Kustis; Wood carving
    -Someone: Silversmithing
    -Someone: Dog grooming
-Scituate Animal Shelter volunteer:  Why & how can you help?
    8.
John Roser to do an SCTV PSA for intro to these potential short shows (without being specific as to which ones will be used) to encourage volunteers and ideas.
    9. John Roser discussed upcoming Studio activities:
    -South Shore Style TV show
-Scituate Science Spectacular (Al and Mike to handle on April 9, 2015 4-7 pm)
-Ch 22 had a tech problem that has been resolved and connections simplified.
-Modulators are fine for now. Replacing them is very expensive and hopefully unnecessary as we move toward digital in 2018.
-Some discussion on town costs to go digital.
John to do some research with other towns to get a "ballpark" idea of $$$.
    -
John will provide data at next meeting on the number of Comcast technical incidents over the past year and will update the incident report at each meeting.
    - Also John will run a banner announcement "If you are experiencing any problems on SCTV channels 8, 9, 22
    Please call SCTV 781 545-????.”
    - No FY16 budget issues. Budget approved with a slight increase.
    10. There seemed to be some confusion on whether the Scituate school committee wants or violently opposes live TV of their regular meetings.
Ed Fiddler will contact several School Committee members to get a clearer perspective. Audio quality while taping these meetings has been a problem.
    11. Motion made to adjourn meeting.  Motion accepted.  Unanimous vote.

Meeting adjourned @ 7:15pm
