WIND ADVISORY ALERT : 3/11/2024 1:15 PM

The National Weather Service cautions that the Town of Scituate will face robust northwest winds ranging from 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph until Tuesday morning. These winds pose a risk of tree limbs falling, potentially causing power disruptions.

High tides could cause splashovers on coastal roads until Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Low-lying areas at risk of flooding include Cole Parkway, Front Street, Edward Foster Road, Cedar Point, and Central Ave in Humarock.

The Town of Scituate advises residents to:

  • Avoid driving through flooded areas. Saltwater or debris hidden under the water can damage vehicles, and vehicle wakes can pose risks to neighboring properties.
  • Refrain from parking on Cole Parkway and the Town Pier during high tide.
  • Do not drive around the sawhorses, which've been set up for safety reasons.
  • Residents should inspect their sump pumps, check downspouts, and ensure that catch basins in the area are not blocked.

In case of emergencies, dial 911. For non-emergencies, please call 781-545-1212. Report power outages to National Grid at 1-800-465-1212 or Eversource (Humarock) at 1-800-688-6160.
