Scituate Sister City Host Family Opportunity
Seize this exciting opportunity to make a new friend this summer from Sucy-en-Brie, Scituate’s Sister City in France!
The Scituate Sister City Project seeks 12 Families from the Scituate area to host a 15-18 year old French student who is very eager to come to Scituate and to host one young adult who is accompanying this group.
Reason for visit: English Language Immersion Program
Dates: July 9 – July 23, 2017
American Host students will receive Community Service Hours. This is a very successful and fun program that takes place every 2 years!
- Students will spend Monday-Thursday mornings in 3 hours of English lessons.
- Students will spend 4-5 afternoons per week engaged in cultural or beach activities.
- Host families will speak English, house, and feed their guests.
- Host families will entertain their guest in the evenings and on the weekends.
All families are welcome to apply regardless of parent age or age of any children at home. It is not necessary to speak French in order to host! If you foresee some conflicts, we can help you! Family members are welcome on excursions or other organized activities.
