Storm Update 2: 5:10 pm

Complete power restoration may take up to 72 hours from the storm's conclusion, which is expected later this evening. Presently, 99% of National Grid's Scituate customers are without power. Additionally, multiple trees, poles, and wires down in Scituate will impact restoration times.

Residents are strongly advised to avoid road travel to facilitate cleanup efforts by the Town of Scituate and National Grid crews working overnight. National Grid will perform damage assessments during the night, and restoration efforts will commence once it is deemed safe.

For warming and device-charging facilities, residents can utilize the following town locations:

Scituate Town Library:

Tuesday, 12/19: 9 am - 9 pm                                                                                                                  

Scituate Senior Center:

Tuesday, 12/19: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

Scituate Town Hall:

Tuesday, 12/19: 8:30 am – 7:30 pm

The Transfer Station will NOT be open on Tuesday, 12/19, as it is experiencing a power outage.
