BEACH TESTING RESULTS FOR AUGUST 19, 2014

Lighthouse Beach – 30

Peggotty Beach – 10 (CLOSED TO SWIMMING)

Sand Hills Beach – <10

Based on the above results, the following beaches are open:

• Egypt

• Humarock

• Lighthouse

• Minot

• Sand Hills

NOTE:  Although the single result above for Peggotty Beach is acceptable, Peggotty remains closed because the mean of the last five samples remain above the acceptable limit of 35 colonies per 100 mL of water.

LIFEGUARD STAFFING CHANGE:

Please be advised that as of Saturday, August 23, 2014, the only beach that will be staffed by lifeguards is HUMAROCK.  This beach will remain covered through Labor Day, September 1, 2014.  All others will remain unstaffed.
