Emergency Shelter Information

 Shelter Location:

The Scituate High School

606 Chief Justice Cushing Highway

General Population shelters are stocked with basic necessities for survival, including food, water, and a warm place to sleep.  Shelters may be crowded, boring, noisy, and short-staffed, offering little or no privacy.  A shelter will not have the same level of convenience as a friend or family member's home or hotel. The Scituate Shelter is pet friendly, but the Scituate Emergency Management Agency urges you to make arrangements for your pets ahead of time and check with local kennels or veterinarians or a friend or relative willing to take care of your pet during an emergency.  Never leave your pet behind.  When packing supplies for yourself, pack supplies for your pets.  A list of supplies can be found under Emergency Preparedness or visit https://www.ready.gov/pets
