Scituate Harbor is a great “Town Center” and seaside village with a broad range of shops, restaurants, waterfront activities, entertainment venues, artists, personal and professional services, and civic amenities. It was voted as the 2015 Best Town Center, South by Boston Magazine.

Scituate Harbor is a true mixed-use village with many residential condominiums and apartments above the stores along Front Street, and traditional neighborhoods surrounding Front Street with spectacular views of the Harbor and within an easy walking distance to all the amenities. The Harborwalk runs along the waterfront from Cole Parkway to the Scituate Harbor Community Building at 44 Jericho Road. In addition to food and entertainment, there are several maritime related businesses including charter and commercial fishing, recreational boating, and scientific research that take advantage of Scituate’s large and well protected harbor. The US Coast Guard and NOAA are both stationed in Scituate Harbor. This is a very popular destination in the summer tourism and boating season.

Scituate Harbor has been designated a Cultural District by the Massachusetts Cultural Council and hosts several civic events throughout the year that attract thousands of residents and visitors like. Festivals such as Heritage Days, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, First Fridays, Classic Cars on Cole Parkway, Harbor Art Walk, Halloween in the Harbor, Holidays in the Harbor, and Restaurant Week are very popular with food and live entertainment.
