Scituate South Coastal (MB4.0)” and a portion of “Scituate North Coastal (MB8.0) are OPEN to Shellfishing

In accordance with Chapter 130, Section 74A of the Massachusetts General Laws, the Division of Marine Fisheries has determined that the emergency closure issued in “Scituate South Coastal (MB4.0)” and a portion of “Scituate North Coastal (MB8.0)” in the Town of Scituate due to multiple sewage overflows on April 6th, 2024 may be rescinded. Shellfish classification areas placed in the “Closed to Shellfishing” status due to the emergency closure shall revert to an “Open to Shellfishing” status effective as of sunrise Sunday April 28, 2024.
