The New York Times Online

PLEASE NOTE: You must log in to your New York Times account for unlimited access. Please also note, there are three NYT collections: NYT newspaper, NYT Cooking Collection, NYT Games.  Each NYT collection requires its own unique access code. 

In-Library Access

  • Use a library computer
  • Use your own device or laptop and connect to the "Town of Scituate" wifi network
  • Click the link below for In-Library access to The New York Times
  • Click the login button in the upper right corner
    • First-time users: Click "Create one" to create a New York Times account.  Enter your email address and create a password to create the required New York Times account. (Be sure to write down your password. You need to log into your New York Times account each time for unlimited access.)
    • Returning users: Sign in to your New York Times account  In-Library Access to The New York Times

  Remote or Home Access

  • Click the link below for Home Access to The New York Times
  • Click Redeem to get 72 hours of continuous access
  • Click the login button in the upper right corner
    • First-time users: Click "Create one" to create a New York Times account. Enter your email address and create a password to create the required New York Times account. (Be sure to write down your password. You need to log into your New York Times account each time for unlimited access.) 
    • Returning users: Sign in to your New York Times account
  • After the 72 hours have passed, you will need to redeem another code for another 72 hours of remote access Remote or Home Access to The New York Times

New York Times Cooking Collection Remote Access

As with at-home access to the New York Times daily paper, you'll need to redeem an access code for the Cooking Collection, good for 24 hours. If you're a first-time user, you'll need to set up a free account first. (Be sure to write down your login information because you will need it to log in after the redemption code expires.) After the 24 hours have passed, you will need to redeem another code for another 24 hours of remote access. 

New York Times Games Remote Access

As a Scituate Town Library patron, you also have access to the New York Times Games collection. Fuel your mind with access to the NYT's suite of games, including the Crossword.  Start enjoying your access today using the same steps as above. This code is good for 24 hours, after which time you will need to get another code by clicking the link on this page.
