Dog Licenses Due

Late Fees Oct 1st

Mass General Law and the Town of Scituate Bylaws requires that all dogs be licensed. This office will begin licensing for 2020 on June 1st.  Last year's dog tag expires on June 30th. Please see attached Dog License form and instructions. Be sure to include the rabies and spay/neuter information and a self-addressed letter size envelope.  You may also license online if this office has the rabies and spay/neuter information on file. (Veterinarians are required to send rabies certificates to this office however, they do not always arrive in time for licensing.)  If we do not have that information we are unable to license your dog.

THERE ARE MANY UNLICENSED DOGS IN OUR DATABASE. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU NO LONGER HAVE A DOG.

Late fees go into effect on October 1, 2020.

The bylaws in regard to dogs can be found in the General Bylaws in Section 30400 on the Town Clerk's web page.
