Widow’s Walk Public Golf Course

Widow's Walk is a municipally owned 18-hole layout adjacent to the historic and scenic North River and within sight of the Atlantic Ocean. As America's first "environmental demonstration course," Widow's Walk opened to much fanfare and national acclaim in 1997. Since then it has been designated as an Audubon International, Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Widow’s Walk has received several accolades including the following:

  • "#1 Golf Course" on the South Shore - Community Newspaper "Readers' Choice Award" for fifteen straight years, beginning in 1999
  • "Best New Golf Courses in America" - Upon opening in 1998 by Golf Digest
  • "Four Stars" - List of top "Courses to Play." 2004 - Golf Digest
  • "Readers Choice Award" - The Patriot Ledger has also named Widow's Walk one of the area's top golf courses to play.
