High Wind Warning
We are under a high wind warning and may experience a high wind event this afternoon into Friday evening. We are forecast to receive steady southwest winds 40-45mph with gusts potentially exceeding 60mph.
If the gusts do exceed 55mph we could potentially experience tree and limb damage which will most likely cause scattered power outages. Please be aware of downed power lines. If you witness downed power lines stay clear and dial 911 and report the issue to National Grid at 800-465-1212 or Eversource for Humarock residents at 800-286-2000.
The expected winds should not create any significant flooding issues even as astronomical tides are expected to be high for the next six days. However, please be alert for the potential of minor flooding in the Cole Parkway and Mill Wharf parking lots through next Thursday. The highest tides will start in the mid-morning Saturday and advance to the early afternoon next week.
Stay safe and enjoy your weekend!
