What do I do about flooding on my property?

If flooding already exists, it's usually not something that can be addressed by the Town. If neighbors are building or paving their property, a Stormwater Permit may be required if more than 15,000 sq. ft. of land is altered. The purpose of the Stormwater Permit is to try to prevent flooding and protect water quality, which can be affected by runoff.
