The design was responsive to the Scituate Housing Authority’s objectives.

  • Ongoing property management expertise.
  • Superior design with environmental and energy efficiency.
  • Affordability restrictions in perpetuity with preference to Scituate residents.
  • Independently owned and managed without support from Scituate or Housing Authority.   
The project addresses the Affordable Housing Study in Scituate.
  • Scituate has not yet achieved affordable housing targets per 40B.
  • Senior population is growing, estimated to go over 5,000 by 2030.
  • There is a lack of affordable housing, especially rental units.
  • 8.8% of households below 30% area median income ($25,000).
  • More than one fifth of individuals below the poverty line are seniors.
