The Town of Scituate Water Department will be performing filter media replacement at the Old Oaken Bucket Water Treatment Plant from November 10 through November 17. During that time, the treatment plant will be shut down, and we are asking residents to limit their use of water to essential activities only (e.g., bathing, laundry, cooking). Until the treatment plant is back on-line, drinking water will be sourced entirely from the town’s six wells, which, with your conservation efforts will provide enough drinking water to meet normal requirements. Your conservation efforts are critical to the successful completion of our plant upgrades. Please mark the dates November 10 through November 17 on your calendar, and thank you, in advance, for helping us make improvements to our treatment plant.
