Tropical Storm Fay

Tropical Storm Fay is forecast to transit west of us this afternoon into Saturday morning. With the current forecast we should expect a rainy breezy afternoon extending into tomorrow morning. Southeast winds will be strongest (25-30 mph with potential gusts to 40 mph) early Saturday morning.

We are under a flash flood watch and forecast to receive .5” to 1” of rain; most of the rain is forecast to be west of us. The reason for the flood watch is we could experience severe thunders storms which could bring heavy rain, hail, strong winds, and lightening at any time during this storm.

The positive is the low risk for coastal flooding with southerly winds and nominal high tides just after 4pm this afternoon and 4:15am Saturday morning.

Please stay informed as things could change quickly, especially if we experience severe thunderstorms.
