Stormwater Outfall Investigations

In order to maintain compliance with our Federal MS-4 Stormwater Permit, the Scituate Department of Public Works has contracted with a firm to perform stormwater outfall investigations. During the week of November 30, 2020, stormwater sampling and investigations are expected to begin. The inspections will require access to stormwater outfalls, which in many cases are located in an easement between two homes. The inspection will not cause any damage to the property and should be relatively brief. During this phase of investigation, crews will be focusing on the Musquashicut Pond, Egypt Beach, Sand Hills, Front Street and the neighborhoods surrounding Old Oaken Bucket Pond.
