STORM UPDATE 4

Friday, October 18, 2019

National Grid crews have been working aggressively through the overnight and have reduced outages to less than 20% of Scituate customers with additional crews working in an effort to restore power to residents as soon as possible.

Eversource has estimated that less than 15% of Humarock residents remain without power and will be working to restore total power throughout the day.

All of the schools within the district have been re-energized and opened following a 2-hour delay.

The Scituate Transfer Station is open and operational during normal hours.

Town Hall is open as a charging station through 11:45am today and the Town Library will be open until 5:00pm.

All residents should be advised that as crews work to restore power, temporary outages may occur for short durations.

Residents should treat all downed wires as live and are asked to call 911 to report any hazards or emergencies.
