STORM UPDATE 3

National Grid crews have been working aggressively over the past several hours and have made significant progress, reducing outages from more than 80% of Scituate customers to now under 50%.  Crews will be continuing to work throughout the night in an effort to restore power to residents as soon as possible.

A major focus for National Grid remains restoring power to each of the schools throughout the district.  An assessment will be made during the over-night hours on restoration progress and whether school will be held on Friday, October 18th.

Eversource has advised that the majority of power to Humarock residents has been restored.

Town Hall will open as a charging station at 7:00am tomorrow morning.

Residents should treat all downed wires as live and are asked to call 911 to report any hazards or emergencies.

Residents can report power outages to National Grid at 800-322-3223.  You can also track the status of your outage at nationalgrid.com.

Humarock residents can report power outages to Eversource at 800-592-2000 and track outages at eversource.com.

Scituate Emergency Management will provide additional updates as available and necessary.
