STORM ADVISORY

Scituate Emergency Management Agency

Snow is expected to start this evening after 8 pm in Scituate and continue through the night tapering off by 7am and ending mid-morning. We are forecast to receive 3- 5” of snow. We have astronomically high tides due to the full moon Wednesday. With the tide height potentially exceeding 13’ and northeast winds exceeding 30 mph we may experience minor coastal flooding.

It may be wise to move your vehicles from low lying areas by 8:30 am. We do not expect this storm to impact us like the last storm but please monitor potential for flooding between 8:30 am - 11 am.

The Senior Center, Town Library, and Boathouse in Humarock will be available as warming centers tomorrow. We encourage those along our immediate coastline to find a safer location during the high tide (8:30-11 am) just in case the flooding is worse than expected.
