STATEMENT FROM THE SCITUATE SELECT BOARD April 20, 2021

Last October, the Scituate Select Board published a statement condemning all acts of racism, discrimination, and hate. Unfortunately, with the rise in hateful behavior against Asian Americans throughout the country a reminder is warranted.  As the elected leaders of Scituate, the Select Board will not tolerate acts of hate or violence against any resident, business, or guest, especially against those targeted by racist, discriminatory, or hateful motivation.  Should such behavior occur here, the town will investigate and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. 

As an inclusive community, we must stand together in condemning acts of violence and hate and join together to support those in our community who are victimized by such acts.
