Flushing/Brown Water Alert

The Town will be flushing water lines starting Wednesday December 1st until Friday December 3rd.  This is part of the ongoing maintenance of the water system. This work will reroute the flow of water through town and could create Brown Water in areas outside of this zone of influence. The following streets will be targeted for this round of flushing:

  • Chief Justice Cushing Highway (Route 3A)
  • Old Forge Road Neighborhood
  • Satuit Trail Neighborhood
  • Doctors Hill
  • Deer Common Drive
  • First Parish Road
  • Judy Road
  • Arbor Way Neighborhood
  • Mann Lot Road
  • Forest Lane

Residents are urged to take necessary precautions and check for discoloration. Allow the water to flush before using and check before doing laundry.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Water Shutdowns will also occur on Tilden Road and Brook Street between Rachel’s Way and Hazel Ave. on Wednesday 8am-3pm.  Also, Brook Street between Front Street and Hazel Ave. on Friday 8am-3pm. This work will deactivate the old water line on Brook Street and a portion of Tilden Road. All affected residents will receive a notification flyer at their residence.
