Community Advisory

Based on investigations currently underway in Conservation Park on the Driftway in Scituate, we’d like to advise the community to be mindful of possible detonation cord and blasting caps which could be washed up on the shoreline.

Throughout this afternoon, Scituate Police and Fire Departments, through a coordinated response with other local, state and federal agencies, will be working to collect and dispose of the items that have already been located in areas along the North River.

We’re asking the public to mindful of any suspicious items that they observe along our coastal areas.  In the event that a suspicious item is located, please leave it in place, maintain a safe distance and contact 911 immediately.
