Announcement of Board & Committee Openings for the Town of Scituate

Check out our newest committee Sister City Cape Verde

Have you ever considered serving on a town board or committee?  If so, now is your chance!

We are excited to announce our newest Sister City relationship.  This new committee will be working on developing a relationship with Cape Verde, Santa Catarina do Fogo!

The Select Board’s office is accepting applications and have openings on the following Boards at this time: 

  • Animal Control Board
  • Beach Commission
  • Beautification Commission
  • Coastal Advisory Commission
  • Commission on Disabilities
  • Scituate Community Cable Television
  • Scituate Cultural Council
  • Sister City France, Sucy en Brie
  • Sister City Cape Verde, Santa Catarina do Fogo
  • Traffic Rules & Regulations
  • Widows Walk

If more openings occur we will post them on the Town of Scituate website and Facebook page.  Applications are due to the Select Board’s office by July 11, 2022.  Applications are available in the Select Board’s office or on the Town of Scituate website https://www.scituatema.gov/sites/g/files/vyhlif11836/f/pages/committee_commission_application_revised_20220614.pdf

Applicants will be invited to interview with the Select Board in July/August.  If you have already submitted an application we have it on file and will contact you to set up an interview.   After interviews are completed, appointments will be made by the Select Board.
