PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY MARCH 1, 2016

The Presidential Primary will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Scituate High School gymnasium from 7 AM-8 PM.

The deadline to register to vote (if you are not already registered) or change your party is Wednesday, February 10, 2016.

If you are unable to get to the polls, absentee ballots should be available in mid January. You must fill out an Absentee Ballot Application whether you would like the ballot mailed or whether you wish to vote in person at the Town Clerk's office.  The last day to vote absentee in person or request a ballot be mailed is Monday, February 29, 2016 by noon. If you are requesting an absentee ballot be mailed please apply early as absentee ballots must be received at the polling place by the close of polls on election day for your vote to count.

Please keep in mind while voting at a primary,  if you are registered in a political party you will take that party's ballot.  If you are registered as "UNENROLLED" you may choose any party's ballot you wish. However, once you choose a ballot you cannot switch it out for another party ballot if you have chosen the wrong one. Please decide which ballot you would like to receive before checking in at your precinct table.  Sample ballots will be posted in the SHS gym.
